We’re hosting the very first PJCE Happy Hour at the Lucky Labrador Pub on North Killingsworth, 7:30 to 8:30 pm on Monday June 23!
Admission is FREE, and the event is open to music lovers of all ages.
PJCE Records is growing into the future
We will be talking all about Portland’s very own original jazz record label—the past, the present and the future. You can help us celebrate outgoing PJCE Records director Dan Duval’s achievements, and hear what incoming Director Lee Elderton has in store for the label.
And most importantly, we hope you’ll offer your feedback. What should a Portland-focused jazz label do? How can it promote its artists here and in the region? How should we decide who’s music is released by the label? How can we do good things for the jazz community while we release music of the highest quality? You have ideas, and we want to hear them.
7:30 pm – Panel discussion with Dan Duval and Lee Elderton
7:45 pm – Floor open to anyone who wants to offer ideas, criticisms, comments.
Once the structured discussion is over, we hope you’ll stay and hang out!
