Our second year of monthly releases continues with “Indian Summer,” the first album by new ambient jazz quartet Richards / Duval. Label director Dan Duval and bay area pianist Graham Richards have a long history together, and they are accompanied here by stalwart Portland based rhythm section Bill Athens and Stephen Pancerev. This album features many layers of cello, brass instruments, and ambient electronic noise. Richards / Duval will celebrate the release of this album with a show at the Portland Jazz Festival on February 28th. Read more about this show here.
