We’re excited to present a special one-off project for the June PJCE Records release from label co-director Andrew Oliver and Toronto-based saxophonist Ben Dietschi. Andrew and Ben have been playing together for 4 years in the cross-continental band Tunnel Six and after their spring tour this year decided to team up with Portland bassist Bill Athens and drummer Stephen Pancerev for a session of open and spacious improvisations that gave them a chance to play in a different style from the rather highly composed material in Tunnel Six. The session was a blast and we’re just waiting to get the CDs back from duplication for the June 15 release date. Hear the podcast:
