Join us at a private residence in SE Portland near Eastmoreland for an intimate solo concert and discussion with Jasnam Daya Singh, the composer and pianist of Ektah: The Unity Project. We will send the address to the residence to all ticket buyers.

This recording, PJCE’s third studio recording, will feature Singh’s multi-movement suite, which we commissioned in 2017 for the Montavilla Jazz Festival. Thanks to generous support from the Regional Arts and Culture Council, we’ve already got a great start on raising money for this special project, but we need your help to fully fund it. Your $50 minimum donation is fully tax deductible, and will be dedicated entirely to this project, funding rehearsal, recording, mixing, and marketing.

At this event you’ll have the chance to hear Jasnam perform pieces from the suite on solo piano, along with a few special guests, including PJCE Executive Director Douglas Detrick on trumpet. Jasnam will also share the stories that inspired the piece, and how even after a few years, the unity among people from all over the world for which Jasnam advocates is more needed than ever. We’ll come together to support this artist and this project to make sure that this artistic statement will be heard.
