On February 2nd, the Frank Irwin Quintet will bring its evocative brand of jazz to the 1905. Inspired by his work as a middle school teacher, Frank lets the humanity of music shine through his compositions and arrangements, embracing a songbook that takes listeners through an eclectic array of genres, from hip-hop to Fiddler on the Roof, all told through the infinite idiom of jazz. The band will include Ian Christensen, James Powers, Corey Heppner, Nicole McCabe, and Alexander Thomas, some of Portland finest young jazz talent.

Tickets are $10 at the door. Reservations recommended for first set especially.
